Certified or registered mail with return receipt, precinct constable or registered private process server.

Set by court; within 60 days of the filing of the answer.

Not allowed unless both sides agree in writing.

Counterclaims over $2,500 or objection at least ten days before the hearing (for right of appeal and jury), may be transferred to Justice Court. For counterclaims over $5,000 transfer is allowed to Superior Court.

Not allowed in Small Claims Division. Allowed in Justice Court. Can request to vacate or set aside judgment if believe entered in error or good reasons for not appearing at the hearing.

Equitable relief available. Defendant must answer within 20 days or lose by default. No discovery. No jury trial. Right to sue may not be transferred.
