Either party may file a motion to transfer to Superior Court if defendant files a counterclaim exceeding $3,500 or defendant provides an affidavit stating that a good defense exists and the specificity of that defense, or an affidavit stating the case has been properly claimed as a jury trial. It is in the discretion of the court to grant the transfer.

No right of appeal.

No equitable relief. Litigants may submit matter to County Commissioner for binding decision. Cases are heard by magistrates, (specially appointed lawyers).
